Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS) has a well-equipped training centre with courses for prosthetists and orthotists that focus on the Jaipur Foot and caliper technology.
The centre conducts training courses for beginners and re-training and refresher courses for technicians and professionals from BMVSS centres across the world. The re-training centre has helped technical staff and professionals at BMVSS to acquire and upgrade technological knowledge and skills and to keep abreast of new developments in prosthetics.
The duration of the courses varies — between one to three months. The courses include both theoretical lectures and hands-on training.
The training centre also regularly organises seminars, conferences and workshops, and invites eminent speakers and national and international experts in the prosthetics field as guest lecturers.
BMVSS is planning to start a diploma course in prosthetics and orthotics.
